Sri Lanka Surgical Congress is the flagship annual event of the College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka. As has been the recent practice, this year too, the SLSC is held jointly with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the SAARC Surgical Care Society. SLSC includes the participation of subspecialty surgical associations in Sri Lanka.
The 2020 congress is privileged to incorporate the annual congress of the Ambrose Pare Military Surgery Forum.
The 2020 SLSC will be supported by the Congress app and the Congress website. Please make sure to bring your smart phone as all the event information will be available online.
As the president of the College of Surgeons for Sri Lanka in 2020, I am honored to invite you to participate at the 49th Sri Lanka Surgical Congress, held in collaboration with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the SAARC Surgical Society. The invitation is extended to the delegates of the annual congress of the Ambrose Pare Military Surgery Forum which is incorporated into the Sri Lanka Surgical Congress.
The event features experts from the global surgical community as well as from Sri Lanka. The three day program is the ideal ground for exchange of knowledge and views as well the place for much social interaction of all surgical specialists from Sri Lanka and outside. I look forward to welcoming you at this congress and invite you to spend time travelling and experiencing the wonders of natural Sri Lanka.

I am absolutely delighted to welcome everyone to next year’s joint Sri Lanka Surgical Congress 2020 with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Our Colleges have worked closely together for many years and have been linked with training, education and assessment. We consider this joint scientific meeting as a high point of our international year. We love to visit this beautiful country and take part in sharing experiences, knowledge and innovations. Like last year, I expect this congress to be a great success and look forward to the friendships that this exciting collaboration affords us. I wish you all a successful and enjoyable conference.
